Quick Update on my life

Hi there. I haven’t written a text post in bloody ages because my life has literally been soooo busy so I thought that I would post a quick update.

Last week I got back from my holiday over east, it was fantastic! We went to Melbourne and the Gold Coast. Melbourne was great and I think that I would definitely consider it as a place to live in the future. I really enjoyed being over in the cold weather again, WA’s heat stresses me out too much. We caught up with our friends there and they showed us some amazing restaurants that I really enjoyed. The best one was called “Naked for Satan”. I also had some amazing pancakes one day when Brock decided to sleep in. The best things we did in Melbourne were our visits to ACMI and the Arcade near the casino.

ACMI (Australian Centre of Moving Image) is absolutely worth a look, besides the fact that two out of three of the current exhibitions were free, the paid one is on the history of space in film. The two free exhibitions were a history of moving image (in Australia?) and an Independent Video Games expo. Has so much awesome stuff, I couldn’t possibly write down everything, just go yourself :)

In the Gold Coast we went to the Theme parks Movie World, Wet N’ Wild and Seaworld. Just going to warn you all, don’t fucking bother. They were so shit. Seaorld was the best of the three but we still didn’t get to see everything. The lines were an hour plus for most rides that went for 30 seconds or less. They need to take a leaf from Disneyworld’s book on how to do lines.

The most amazing thing we did in the Gold Coast was go to Dracula’s theatre restaurant and oh my goodness it was the most amazing place Brock and I have ever been, by the end of the night we both literally wanted to work there. It’s a Horror themed theatre restaurant, the show was amazing, the building was amazing, the staff were amazing, the food was amazing, please just do yourself a favour and go to it! It’s about a hundred dollars for VIP tix but trust me it is so worth it, you get amazing seats and an awesome waiter who just looks after your row. The waitress we had was a gothic bride and she was such a sweet heart and constantly made us laugh and helped us out with anything we needed. It made for the best Anniversary Brock and I have had yet :)

Anyhow, Brock and I have the keys to our unit and our things are being moved into the unit in 2 days! I’m so excited! I start Uni in a month and I am seeing Death Cab For Cutie in a couple of weeks too.

Bye for now!

A few months ago I dragged Rich along to this carnival but Rich, being Rich, decided that the carnival was ‘lame’ and only for ‘wankers’ who want to spend loads on winning ‘cheap useless bollocks’ so naturally he grumped and wouldn’t go on the rides with me so I grumped right back and went on the…
